Jessica M. Mills is an associate attorney at Scarfone & Geen, P.C. Ms. Mills’ practice will focus on first- and third- party automobile litigation, along with defending Michigan no-fault claims for auto insurance carriers. Prior to joining Scarfone & Geen, P.C., Ms. Mills worked as an associate attorney at a prominent Detroit-based personal injury and civil rights firm.
Ms. Mills is a native Detroiter, who was born, raised and educated in the city. Ms. Mills attended Alonzo Bates Academy for elementary and middle school and Renaissance High School. Ms. Mills earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Print Journalism from Wayne State University. Ms. Mills earned her Juris Doctorate Degree from Wayne State University Law School in 2016, where she was awarded the Honorable Damon J. Keith Scholarship. While in law school, Ms. Mills interned for the Honorable Sean F. Cox at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Ms. Mills also served as a student attorney at the Legal Advocacy for People with Cancer Clinic at Wayne Law.
Ms. Mills is a member of the State Bar of Michigan (SBA), the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association (DBA), and the Wolverine Bar Association (WBA). As a member of the WBA, Ms. Mills serves as a mentor in the Minority Bar Passage Program, where she tutors law school graduates in their preparation for the Michigan bar exam. Outside of private practice, Ms. Mills donates her legal skills on a pro bono basis to assist those who would not otherwise be able to afford counsel.
